Preservation Framing

History In Ink Originals™ are carefully created in order to preserve the autographs.

We take care to make our framed displays some of the best—wonderful conversation pieces for the home or office. They include one or more photographs and usually include one or more engraved plates identifying the person and, if appropriate, the event. Click here to see examples of our framing.

The autographs and photographs touch only acid-free materials. We use acid-free, lignin-free mat board. Each piece is framed with clear conservation glass, which keeps more than 97% of harmful ultraviolet light in the 300–380 nm range from reaching it. The mats are layered in order to hold the autographs and photographs well away from the glass. A cover on the back of the piece helps keep dust, which can contain harmful chemical particles, away from the autograph.

Most of the unframed autographs that we offer can be framed. We will be happy to quote the framed price upon request.

Custom Framed Displays

We are happy to create custom framed autograph displays.

We will work with you to create a display that complements both the autograph and your decor. You can select the color and type of matting, the type of frame, and, usually, the size of the piece. We also have a variety of photographs and engravings from which to choose.

Items used as office decor may be tax deductible as business expenses. Check with your tax advisor to find out whether they are deductible for you.

Contact us to give us the details of the item you want. We will let you know whether the autograph is available and, if so, the price for the framed piece. We will be happy to work within the price range that you set, if possible.
